Nous aurons le plaisir d'accueillir le 1er juin Ivan Lomakin de l'Université d'Aalto en Finlande, il nous fera un exposé en salle de séminaire à 11h. Vous trouverez ci-dessous un résumé.
"Can Statistical Physics and Materials Science become good friends?"
Ivan Lomakin, Aalto University, Finland
The wanderer will tell a story about himself and about Complex Systems and Materials research group (CSM) of Aalto University (Espoo, Finland). CSM group applies statistical physics to a wide variety of cross-disciplinary topics, ranging from computer science to materials as paper, polymers and metals to complex networks. Recent results will be briefly reported to illustrate potential of approaches used in the group. Ongoing collaborative project with GPM will be annonced. Project proposes to represent APT data as a spatial probability density function, which can be used for further interpretation of microstructural peculiarities and their effect on properties. To reach the goal APT 3D reconstruction is going to be considered as a system identification problem which invoke building of mathematical model of dynamic system from measured data using statistical approaches and advanced computational physics techniques including machine learning algorithms and high-performance computing.
